Read a Book online

Read a free children's book online today and help share books with young people across Asia. For every book you read between now and January, 2012 in support of The Asia Foundation's Books for Asia program, We Give Books will donate one book to help this nonprofit send books to children in 18 countries that do not have access to high-quality reading material.
From mobile libraries in rural Sri Lanka to box libraries in refugee camps in Pakistan, Books for Asia finds innovative ways to get quality reading material to children who need them the most, including those in the region's most remote and conflict-ridden areas. With 56 years of grassroots experience, Books for Asia has witnessed, again and again, the extraordinary ripple effect of providing students, teachers, and librarians with colorful, engaging children's books. The nonprofit delivers nearly one million books a year to thousands of schools and libraries serving an estimated 5 million people.
We Give Books aims to donate 10,000 books to Books for Asia to inspire, shape, and hone young people's imaginations, critical thinking skills, and their understanding of the world and their place in it. With your help, young people will have new books to read and develop to their full potential--a powerful tool with the potential to combat poverty and disease, and to promote stability.
