Many Childless couples across the world desperately opting for a surrogacy to get a baby and India became surrogacy hub because commercial surrogacy is completely allowed. In this context protecting surrogate mothers rights and educating them about their roles and responsibilities are very much important.

Global – Surrogate Mothers Advancing Rights Trust (G-SMART) was inaugurated on 18thJanuary 2013. This is the first of its kind in India addressing the issues of Surrogate mothers and fighting for their rights. G-SMART is a NGO will play a role between Surrogate Mothers, Intended Couple and Fertility Clinics and it will make sure the rights among the women who come forward as a gestational carries.
