Wondering what to do with outdated gizmos?
Don't throw them away and add to the growing problem of e-waste. They could be exchanged for cash, recycled or simply given away to those who might find them useful.
Take a look of the following websites:
1.Deco-art
2.Buymytronics.com
3.Flipswap.com
4.YouRenew.com
5.cellforcash.com
6.TechForwardeztradein.com
7.pdaRecycler.com
8.recycle.com,
9.econewonline.com
10.mygreenelectronics.org.
E-bay and craigslist sell your e-treasures for a fee.
Old PCs have multiple re-use opportunities.
1.For that feel-good factor, send it to an orphanage, old-age home or a rural school. Give it to the maid's kid.
2.If you're in the experimental mode, instal Linux (any new software) for a test run.
3.Get a clean, safe, free diary by loading personal files into the old computer.
4. Buy an external TV tuner for the monitor and fix it in the kitchen.
5.If your old computer has storage space, make it a Windows Home Server.
6.Use it for back-up storage.
7.Or take it apart (joy!) and save some of the parts.
8.Make it a teaching aid. Which part is the motherboard?
9.Gift it to a family member for playing solitaire.
